Sample Itinerary

 

Day 1

– Arrive Guayaquil airport “Jose Joaquin de Olmedo”, Ecuador (International Airfare not included.)

– Meet your host/hostess outside of Customs

– Hotel van transfer to hotel (hotel to be confirmed depending on availability).

– Night at hotel, 2 double rooms

– Dinners at your leisure (not included)

 

Day 2

– Breakfast at the hotel

– Private transfer to Guayaquil airport

– Depart Guayaquilto San Cristobal, Galapagos Islands

– Arrive in San Cristobal(You will be one hour behind mainland Ecuador) ** Pay the Galapagos National Park admission (currently USD 100.00)upon entering the park

– Host will be outside of GNP admissions area waiting for you to take you to hotel

– Transfers from Airport to hotel.Hotels to be confirmed depending on availability

– Once you check in, you have time to rest a little or freshen up. Next your driver and guide will pick you up to take you to see areas of interest in San Cristobal most such as: 

The Galapaguera:  Get your picture with the famous giant Galapagos tortoises, which give the name to the islands.

Junco lagoon:  Rainwater and condensation have collected in this crater for hundreds of years creating a lagoon on top of a hill with a unique view. This mountain crater is home to frigates, finches, sea gulls, lava gulls and sometimes skimmers.

Windmills Project: El Tropezon Hill in front of Junco Lagoon, you can observe this green energy project started in 2007 which produces roughly 25% of the island’s electric energy.

Day 3

– Breakfast at the hotel

– Around 08h00 am your host will pick you up and take you to board boat for Kicker Rock Water Tour(depending on availability). Time: 6 hours approximately. Kicker Rock is the iconic rock formation that identifies San Cristobal Island. Unique are the rock formations protruding from the water and the animals that live amongst them.  Take this wonderful opportunity to snorkel or dive (dive equipment not included) with sharks, sea lions and reef fish. If choosing to dive enjoy up to two immersions. After your dive or swim you will cruise to a nearby beach to relax and more snorkeling. (Lunch, beverages and snorkel equipment included. Dive equipment not included)

– After tour return hotel, 2 double rooms

– Dinners at your leisure (not included)

 

Days 4 through 7

– Breakfast at the hotel or aboard the boat

Full day of fishing aboard 36ft custom sport-fisher with twin outboard engines; fly bridge, fighting chair, tackle and crew

– Beverages, snacks and lunches on the boat are included

– Return to port approximately 5:30 pm

– Night at hotel, 2 double rooms

– Dinners at your leisure (not included)

 

Day 8

– Breakfast in the hotel

– Before you depart your guide will take you visit the following places:

San Cristobal Interpretation Center:  Learn about the natural evolutionary process of the island. The

center helps to protect and preserves the islands by educating visitors and locals.

Tijeretas Hill:  Among the endemic plants of the island, you will stop in some points where you will see spectaculars views, cliffs, birds, lizards, cactus, trees, Charles Darwin monument and an inlet with crystal water where if tides are ok you can swim or snorkel with sea lions and sharks.

– Transfer from hotel to San Cristobal airport

– Depart San Cristobal to Guayaquil

– Arrive Guayaquil airport

– Host will pick you up outside of baggage of the airport

– Transfer to hotel

– Lunch not included

– Night in hotel, 2 double rooms

– Dinners at your leisure (not included)

 

Day 9

-Breakfast in the hotel

-Hotel transfer to airport

-Depart Ecuador

-Sodas and water while fishing.  Beer can be provided upon request

-All tours mentioned (additional tours can be purchased from company representative)

– flights, visas, insurance, bank taxes, courier services

– Park entrance fee to Galapagos.  Entrance fee subject to change without notice

– INGALA immigration cards, your host in Guayaquil airport will assist you

– Trip organization tax ;

– Tips for captain, crew and guides

– Liquor , dinners and lunches where not mentioned

Booking Info:

To hold your reserved dates, we will need a 50% deposit. Full payment is due 5 weeks prior to your trip. No reservations will be held until payment is secured. 

 

*In case you need help booking airfare, a passport copy will be necessary to make airline reservations for each passenger. We currently do not include airfare in any of our packages. However we are happy to purchase/reserve airfare and deliver tickets to you for a service fee.

 

You will be charged accordingly for each change(s) made to the itinerary.  Therefore, please check your itineraries carefully to ensure you will not have to incur any additional charges.  Changes made while in Galapagos will have to be paid in cash to your host at the time of change.

 

* The Ecuadorian Government has mandated as of February 25th, 2008 that all passengers now have to pay $20.00 US for INGALA immigration card in order to enter into the Galapagos.  Your host will assist you in Guayaquil airport.

 

*Upon entering Galapagos in San Cristobal you may be briefed on their natural habitat, disinfected (As to not carry any bacteria or microscopic organisms to the island.), given rules of the islands and will be charged $100 US per person as entrance fee into the Galapagos National Park.

 

* Notice for all fly fishermen:  Our boats are equipped with fly gear.  But, please feel free to bring your own rod, reel and tackle with you. 

 

Passports are necessary for travel.  Please make sure to pack your passports first and they are valid for at least 6 months for international travel.

A Note About Tipping:

Many guest ask us about tipping.  This is totally voluntary on your part. Our guides, hosts, crews and staff work hard to satisfy you as best as they can and do appreciate your tips very much.  Exactly how much to tip is up to you.  We are often asked how much to tip crew members on fishing days, the best we can advise is the average we have seen for the past 15 years has been about USD 50 per day per crewmember. 

 

Policies and procedures:

 

  • Deposits and payments are non-refundable. If you should need to cancel for any reason we will work with you to accommodate your trip to a later date. Airline, hotel and other penalties may apply for changes of date.  Some may not be changed and will be forfeited.  We will do our best to help accommodate new dates at the lowest cost possible up to one year past your original booking.

 

  • Our company, staff, agents, guides are not responsible for forced cancellations or changes due to airlines, hotels, trains, parks, institutions, tsunamis, earthquakes or any other types of “acts of God” or nature. We will do our best to work with you if anything like this happens.

 

  • Our sample itineraries and prices are good for 45 days from the date of the itinerary. After that prices are subject to change without notice and a new quote may be necessary.

 

  • Boats, cars and planes are mechanical objects prone to breakdown and failures. In the event this happens we will do our best to substitute for another.  If no options are available we will reimburse the client for the part of the trip lost or reschedule dates working for a middle ground to our client´s satisfaction.

 

  • Reimbursement for loss of fishing or touring may take up to 120 days after your trip.
